Just had some enquiries for new years eve 2009 and its only February so it has made us think about what package we should put together. Last New Years Eve party was top class the DJ was on form and the fireworks were fantastic there must of been a million people lining the riverbank around the Westminster area and they stood out in the cold for about 6 hours just to get a view of the fireworks and hear Big Ben strike midnight, our guests got onboard the Suerita at 7.45/8pm and got settled got a drink and went for a cruise through the city then had a bite to eat danced till 1150pm then went outside to see in the new year and of course we were right under Big Ben with most of the other boats and droped everyone off at Westminster Pier at 1am. This year we will be putting 3 boats out so keep an eye on our website because the tickets sold out in no time last year.

Anyone taking a trip on the Thames this week will notice that the tide in London did not change that much it just seem to rise about 4 meters with not much flow, thats because the Thames flood barrier has been in opperation keeping London safe from the threat of flooding. We have had very high tides this week which is not a problem, but combined with all the rain (a full month’s worth in 24 hours) running down and into the River Thames it could burst it’s banks.

These high tides and heavy rain fall wont effect any day tripping services or private party bookings in fact it will mean that your private charter will be able to go as far up river as you like or you can go down to see the Thames Barrier in opperation.

I have recentley been on the end of some sharp tounged cliants asking why we dident see the Thames Barrier or why are we not eating till 9pm or this is not what i ordered, and so on is because they booked through a third party and not direct with us. On the Thames this year ther will be lots of different ticket parties and the cost of the tickets are around £25.00 pp and i have recived lots of enquiries for small groups wanting to join others on a party boat, well to be honest you dont need that many to have your own private boat and it will save you money and if you get about 100 you could even earn money so all you have to do is contact your friends and we will do the rest we will organise the disco, piers and the catering (thats if you want food) last year we turned quite a few ticket enquiries into a private party and saved them money.

O the 13th and 14th Septembre 2009 the Thames Festival will take place in London there will be live bands, barge race, cutter racing, the Thames pagent and fireworks so we may run a ticket event for this weekend if we get enough intrest.

There are all sorts of event being held on the river this year and a good website to visit for infomation is Transport for London www.tfl.gov.uk  you can also find out about things happening in London like the Lord Mayor show and the State Opening Of Parliment.

This year i have reduced the passenger numbers down from 179 to149 this is so we can take our max numbers in comfort, since operating we have never taken more than 150 passengers anyway so it seemed pointless keeping the numbers that high.
